works in progress/finished in June

I just created this blog in hope that it is easier to post and share pictures of my knitting. I can see it will take some time to learn how it all works. My daughter needed a baby blanket gift for her friend who is having a little girl. I made this on my Brother 940 electronic knitting machine. The pattern is a double bed tuck pattern one of the built in patterns and used both the mainbed and the ribber to create this blanket. I crochet a shell edging around the outside and made a cute pair of booties to match. The other picture is some lace work from my friend Judy from the San Diego Knit Together at Balboa Park.

I just got my rainbow kit from the knitting surprise which is my next sock adventure. The yarn is by Opal which comes from Germany, cant wait to cast on
